Mole Valley Green Burial Ground, North Devon
A natural unspoiled peaceful resting place for your loved ones
Visiting
The Burial Ground is open from 8am to Dusk, 7 days a week. The burial plot will be easy to find shortly after a burial but understandably over time this will be more difficult as the grave area evolves and naturalises. If anyone is planning to visit and not sure of the exact location of a grave, please give us 24 hours notice to check our records and we will be pleased to assist you on your arrival. We can also can provide the what3words and grid reference to help locate where someone is buried.
Car Parking
If you are visiting the Burial ground when you come down our long drive as soon as the wonderful view of the valley opens up in front of you there is a hardstanding parking space immediately on your left where you may park your car. If more than one car please park along the hedge on the left hand side of the field unless the field is very wet.
If very wet and muddy you may park in our Farmhouse yard at Woodhouse Farm which is at the very end of the entrance lane. There are other properties at Woodhouse Farm and it is essential that their access down the lane is not blocked at any time. On a burial day we will be around to help guide everyone attending to where they need to park and turn round.
Health and Safety
Once you have parked your car there is approximately a 200 metre walk over to the Burial Ground. There are no formal paths, you may be walking through longish grass and the ground is very uneven so care is needed. Be aware that there could be ticks in the long grass so we strongly recommend you wear suitable clothing and check yourself for Ticks after a visit. Sturdy footwear is a must and Wellington Boots are recommended in the winter months as gateways can get muddy.
Toilet Facilities
There are no Toilet Facilities at the Burial Ground.
